a Morningstar
a morning star is a weapon consisting of a spiked club resembling a mace, usually with a long spike extending straight from the top and many smaller spikes around the particle of the head. The spikes distinguish it from a mace, which can have, at most, flanges or small knobs.
A morning star can also be a flail, then called "ball-and-chain flail" or"Chain-morningstar".
In middle-earth the morning-star is used by the black númenóreans and the corsairs of umbar as well as some half-elves.
