Adventures[]

Kul-Murkai is a formidable stronghold in TA. 1700. As such, it would be nearly impregnable to frontal assault. Nonetheless, it is not impossible to enter, particularly for sly, small groups capable of climbing walls under cover of darkness. Due to the sheer size of the garrison, however, great care would be required. Morkai did not exist in T.A. 1 It is possible, however, that the site at that time was occupied by an earlier Mannish outpost, possibly Dúnedain. In T.A. 3019 and F.A. 1. Murkai lay in ruins. Adventures at this time would be interesting. since the physical structures might be occupied by new residents (e.g. Hillmen warlords, wild beasts, Undead, etc.).

Notes[]

Original form in MERP:Morkai or Barad Morkai = Kul-Murkai

"Morkai" seens to be a mix of Sindarin and Black Speech or Orcish. If this tower was indeed built by the Witch-king it certainly wouldn't have had a Sindarin name.
