Morgûl Knights were the embodiment of all the cruelty and malice in Mordor. They were the elite of Sauron's armies, cruel and silent warriors astride dark steeds who wielded wicked lances with fearsome skill. Each Morgûl Knight was touched by a portion of Sauron's malice, and only the noblest of beings could summon courage enough to stand against them in battle. Thus these Sorcerer-knight orders often served as high officials, captain-generals, elite-bodyguards and other offices of authority.
