Middle Land (PK."Henetmā", Av."Nédbari", Pl."Nîber") referred to the wide lands between Illuin or Helcar in the north and Ormal or Ringil in the South. The middle Land was part of the Kingdom of and included Cuivienen, Palisor, Murmenalda and the Great Pinewoods and Wild Wood as well as the later Mirror of Fire and parts of the Tûr Betark. Before the First War and the fall of the Two lamps or mountains of Illuin and Ormal the Green Plains had surrounded the Isle of Almaren, but afterwards it's original symmetry was destroyed.

Parts of the original Mid-land had broken away after the fall of the Two lamps and the War for Sake of the Elves and become the northwestern parts of Southernesse.
