Marsh Mastiffs

Marsh mastiffs (also Moor-dogs or Moor-hounds) were tall, domesticated dogs found wherever the Dúnedain had resided or had extensive commercial links. They had long legs and short wiry coats, which were usually colored dark brown or russet. Well-liked by shepherds, herders, and hunters, they could be trained to many tasks. They were sure-footed, are good swimmers, and had keen noses. Above all, they were fearless and loyal to their masters. Therefore, they were often equipped with collars (and even leather coats).
