Mardât was the lost heir of House Mêk. Having completed a series of quests at the behest of dark prophets--Mardât was granted a lesser ring of power by none other than the Dark Lord himself. Mardât became king of Bahdran and raised a temple in honor of Sauron and proclaimed it to be the place of his tomb.
Mardât was the first Haradron to claim the title of Serpent-Lord. Mardat proposed that his people could be gods like Sauron if they but worshipped him. Kathôl was placed at the head of the Serpent Temple by Mardât to show the people that Sauron's power reigned supreme. Many Haradrim joined this dark duo in hopes of becoming powerful enough to take the western lands.
