Fatty Lumpkin was the sturdy Pony of Tom Bombadil who used his in his rare travels to Breeland or Buckland. Lumpkin was a clever beast and quickly became friends with the Hobbit Ponies. After the Hobbits ponies escaped from Bree, they went back to Bombadil's house, mainly to see Lumpkin again.
