Lugroki were bizarre creatures home to certain parts of Eastern Middle-earth such as Tanara, the Zorian Wastes, the sinking Plain, or even parts of Southernesse such as the lands of Emêr.It was widely believed they were eastern orc-kin as they much resembled greater Orcs or Hobgoblins as they were known in the Westlands though they also often were thought to be of demonic or half-demon blood, they may have been the lesser descendants of Boldogs or Ogres of the Elder days who did survive in the eastern wastes and who had mingled with more degenerate orc-kin of lesser descend. The latter, known as Murlogi, were goblin-like creatures, far more bestial than their supposed greater Lugroki-kin by whom they often found themselves dominated.
