Lion-Spiders were abominations created by some corrupted eastern Magicians through sorcerous experiments . These creatures were lion sized beasts, equipped with eight limbs, eyes arranged as a spider's, and envenomed fangs. The rear three pair of limbs were spider like in structure while the front pair retained the lion's claws. The beast would move rapidly while employing the front limbs as weapons.
