A creature of the Sinking Plain, the Lion-Eagle was a monsterous blend of Bird and Feline, being, simply put, an eagle body with a lion's head. It was not a natural creature but a Chimaera created by the Shade through magical experiments.Its preferred method of attack was swooping upon its victim and seizing with its talons, then mauling it in the air. This was often hampered by forcing it to fight indoors.
