The amber-colored hexagonal crystal of Goldfire, a complex, possibly enchanted amine acid secreted by several species of golden fire ants, all native to hot, dry deserts or dune seas. Lestagî crystals were so rare because they were highly water-soluble; any exposure to water destroyed them. Lestagî was edible and extremely sweet, but was valuable primarily because it could restore losses in physique other than those due to age; however, it affected only one loss at a time, the one most heavily damaged.
