Lesser Men refers to those Men who were not counted as High Men or Edain by the Elves.The Númenóreans sometimes also distinguished between Middle-Men, Wild Men and Men of Darkness while the Eldar used terms like Lesser Men, Men of Darkness' and Wild Men more or less interchangeably.
