Lenneleth (S. "River-daughter of the wind") (S.A. 75 - S.A. 468) was the second Queen of Númenor as the wife of Tar-Vardamir, passed away.
She began as a scholar, and met Vardamir, who had a passion for all things of knowledge and learning. They married, and had four children: Amandil, Vardilmë, Aulendil, and Nolondil. She had oft written about the history of the First Age and of the Elves, though after she married into the royal house, her mother-in-law Sírien Súlimë introduced her to the art of healing. Lenneleth's interests thus switched to medicine, and she ensured that Queen Sírien's work would be carried into the future. After the queen died, she spent the next two decades carrying on her research into the nature of disease, and maintaining centers of healing on the island.
She was 367 years old when her father-in-law, King Elros Tar-Minyatur, passed away, old even for one of the Númenóreans in their new, extended lifespans. He therefore wisely passed the sceptre down to his son, Tar-Amandil, though was recorded as king in the chronicles, with Lenneleth recorded as queen. As she never had a full reign as queen consort, Lenneleth's Sindarin name is much more well known.
