Urâna also known as Ána, Lasdol and Lassëcar was a creamy paste refined from the leaves or flowers of Uranil, a wildflower of the composite family closely related to vuranar, native to cool, temperate shortgrass prairies. Its leaves and flowers resembled those of the chrysanthemum in miniature. Urâna was prepared by boiling Uranil in salt water containing finely ground flour, which collected on the container's walls as Urâna paste. If eaten raw, Uranil was a respiratory poison.
