In TA 1640 Kurkrákh was the Chieftain of the Kurkurûm tribe in Angmar. Having killed a Troll in single combat, he commanded awe among his kinsmen. His personal ensign, a kite-shaped black banner emblazoned with a broken red skull, served as the tribal standard.
