The Blue Moutains, also known as Ered-Luin, was a Dwarf Kingdom in Middle-Earth.The Blue Mountains arose sometime after the chaos caused by Melkor's destruction of the Two Lamps that destroyed the perfect symmetry of Arda.In these early days, the Blue Mountains were located between the newly formed great sea of Belegaer and the newly formed Sea of Helcar. For many ages of Middle-earth, it had been inhabited by over 40,000 of the Dwarves of Broadbeams.
Kingdom of Ered Luin (Blue Mountains) ca. T.A. 1640–1650[]
Political Organization: Hereditary Monarchy.
Leaders: King Fundin IV of the Broadbeams; Master Thrainil, Warden of the Deep Gates.
Administrative Organization: Governed by the House of Broadbeam, rule is maintained through guild councils and elder halls. The King appoints High Artisans and Guild Lords to manage internal affairs, including mining, trade, and smithing.
Population: 40,000 Dwarves (Primarily Broadbeams, with some Firebeards in the southern halls).
Military: 300 Deepwardens; 4,200 Blue Hosts (elite heavy infantry with sapphire-inlaid plate and runic shields).
Products: Adamant, sapphire, deep-iron, mountain glass, ancient runesmithing, naval-forged axes, relic restoration.
Symbol: The Crowned Forge — A golden hammer poised over an anvil beneath a royal crown, encircled by seven stars (the Sigil of Durin's Folk), on a deep blue field representing the mountains and ancient night.
