The northern Haradrim had long worshipped a serpent-god known as Khäz-Gramaze (Har."Night-stalker", arch."Khahêzu-Ghamâhuzayen"). The Cult was at an early time infiltrated by the Sauronites who used the identity of Khäz-Gramaze as a cover or alias of Sauron. Haradron myth sometimes attributed the Dark Lady as "the daughter of Käz-Gramaze". It may have been related to the Easterling Cult of Sêt.
