Nomadic Tribes of Asia

The Kûlahar (from Tal. "Kul-Ahar","all of the Ahar") were one of the easterling cultures of central Middle-earth who inhabited the plains and valleys between the river Kól and lake Bûrskâdekdar. They were mostly a brawny, dark-skinned people of average height, often nomads or small-scale farmers. While their ancestors had been a mighty alliance of warrior-clans, the Kûlahar were widely regarded as a broken people who had been subdued by Sauron's Golden Army. They were a culture of little words who asked few questions and were suspicious of outsiders. They knew the plainsspeak though among themselves they spoke an archaic Aharian dialect. While they officially were followers of the Cult of the Eye many secretly followed the Cult of Doom or the Cult of the Hunt.
