Jargash - The Messenger of the Eye
The Messenger of the Eye was an ambassador of Sauron at his servant Saruman's Court. He was an official and vaguely tolerated spy, serving as Sauron's informer and spokesman.
At the time of the War of the Ring the Messenger of the Eye was a greater Orc of the Misty Mountains known as Jargash. He observed the final preparations for open conflict in the Ring of Isengard, often accompanying Saruman himself in the smoky pits where weapons were forged and the breeding program progressed. Any sign of disloyalty on the White Hand's part or information on Saruman's self-interested search for the Ruling Ring was reported by the Messenger of the Eye and delivered to Sauron by trustworthy couriers of Mordor.
