The fifth son of [[Gerontius Took]], Isembold is noted as being the forebearer of many descendents. Perhaps be even outproduced his older brother [[Hildigrim]]'s long family line. However, Isembold's descendents were not as noteworthy, although most of them did carry the [[Took]]ish adventurous streak in them. He was [[Bilbo]]'s uncle and [[Frodo]]'s great-uncle.
