Ilnrî Kellamark Brinditlin (Av. "Sunstar of the Marchfoots" or "Pimpernel of the Highfoots"), generally known as "Nrî" was a female of the Fasattâli who lived in the Second Age.

She lived in a time when her people were very reclusive, and virtually unknown to the entire rest of the world.

History[]

Nrî was the daughter of Lîrimo Brinditlin and Mirali Brinditlin, and had a younger sister, Smilna Brinditlin. After her mother passed away, her father was married again, and she was raised by her loving stepmother, Milnîlot. Her dearest friend was Ôlorlot Bilnaimitîan, who fell under the care of her clan as an orphan who had lost all her family.

Nrî dreamed of the wider world beyond the migrations of her peoples, and often went beyond the camps to forage in various groves, though was often chided when she did so. Her life changed when she and Ôlorlot discovered a mysterious figure known only as the Stranger, who they concluded could be neither Big Folk, nor Elf. They helped care for him in secret, though just before they were to start a new migration, the fact that Nrî had cared for him was exposed when he appeared to the camp. She and her ailing father were put at the back of the wagon train as punishment, and her family thought they'd be left behind, but the Stranger agreed to help them.

Notes[]

Few details have been released about this character. This is from an upcoming work, so is subject to heavy changes.

  • Original Name: Elanor "Nori" Kellamark Brandyfoot = Elanâr ? B'randâtâli = Ilnrî ? Brinditlin

This character's name has been rendered in modern English, although typically Hobbit names are not translated until the later Third Age.Also the Hobbits did not start to bear Familynames until the 24th century of the third Age, their ancestors did only have personal names and the Elanor flower was only known in Lothlórien and most likely did not grow anywhere near the Hobbits ancestral homes.
