The Helmets made in Isengard (Or."Hurgak") by Saruman´s Orcs were unlike typical orcish armor. While still heavy and crude they looked more like mannish armor and were decorated with S-runes and the sign of the white hand.

Tolkien doesn´t describe the Armor of Isengard, but the close distance to Rohan may imply that it may have been influenced by the common Armor of the Riddermark, which in turn may be imagined similar to anglo-saxon or late visigoth armor.
Peter Jackson´s movie trilogy shows the Uruk-Hai Helmets as being similar to sallets (Or corinthian Helmets in case of the Berserker-model).There were different types of Isengard Helmets in the movie trilogy:
- a Scout model (simple variant)
- a Pikesman´s model (crested variant)
- a swordsman´s model (crested Variant)
- a Berserker model
- a sapper model (rimmed variant)
- a crossbowman´s model
- a captain´s model (enlarged crest)
- deathbringer´s model (basically the Berserker-type model with a 2 or 3 spiked visor added)
