The House of Finarfin (Q."Nosse Finarfino"; S."Nost Finarfin") were the first tribe of the Noldor, those few that had either not participated on the attack on Alqualondë and the Kin-slaying or repented and who did not follow Fëanor or Fingolfin back to Middle-Earth.Although smallest in number of all Noldorin Houses they were generally regarded as the most noble and were called Aulenosse (Q.Family of Aule") for their great friendship with Aule the Smith.
