House Scylding

House Scylding, also known as House Shielding or the Scyldings, is a large vassal house in service to House Eórl of Rohan. According to history, the Scyldings had been involved in helping Eorl the Young establish the Kingdom of Rohan during the time of the Third Age. After Rohan's establishment, the First Lord of House Scylding constructed the town Scylfig within the Writhendowns of Wildermore.
