Holly of the Heathertoe was the mayor's daughter of Brill in T.A. 1700.
Appearance[]
She was blonde, which was unusual among the brown-haired Brill-landers, and she is believed to have somewhat of a share of Northman blood. She was always dressed in fine linen, occasionally wearing silk on a festive occasion.
History[]
She was the only child of Mayor Rory of the Heathertoe, and her mother was dead. Her aunt, Daisy from the Fernwood, taught her to read and write at an early age. She was an even more avid reader than her father. She was a good housekeeper and cook, and led a busy, albeit not strenuous life.
She was well-travelled, accompanying her aunt and uncle on all their journeys to Fornost Erain and to other parts of Arthedain. Her beauty won her a following with lads everywhere, but she was being courted by Meneldir, the Captain of the Guard in Brill.
