Notes[]
The original TOR supplement used the personal name "Hoegwar", which was taken from the MERP Tharbad module. Hoegwar possibly contains the elements hœgr (Old Norse, "skilled") and varr (Old Norse, "attentive, aware, wise") and is a fitting name for a man of Northern Rhovanion, but if adaptingbthe modifications Tolkien uswd to modernize the dwarven and lake-town names the spelling should more likely be "Hogurvár".
