Hirgon was a Dúnadan Scout who served as the chief messenger of the Steward Denethor II of Gondor during the War of the Ring. The son of Landroval Mindolluin and Gorinwen of Anórien, Hirgon was married to a woman named Arluin. He was the envoy who delivered the Red Arrow, the symbol of Gondor's need, to King Theoden Ednew of Rohan. Orcs slew and beheaded Hirgon during his attempt to return home.
