Hiarni was a leader of a gang of young pick-pockets who roamed the streets of Dale. They rarely did violence, and tended to steal only from the rich - although they could always make exceptions.

Richard Harrison used the Name "Hiiri" in his original Text.the Character of Hiiri was borrowed from the MERP Module "Tharbad", his name is actual finnish with the meaning "Mouse".Finnish is often used to represent Labba, the language of the Lossoth of Forochel. As a Labba Name seems unsuitable for a Rhovanian setting this article suggests the Name Hiarni (latinized from ON Hjarni) instead.
