Hevîk was a A gray powder refined from the leaves of Ôrn-hevîk, a canopy tree native to tropical forests, particularly "cloud forests." Hevîk was prepared by boiling Ôrn-hevîk leaves in strong alcohol, filtering the extract, then evaporating the extract. Hevîk induced deep sleep; at minimum, it had no ill effects.
