Herumal's tower was a residence in Harondor, home to Herumal, an evil Dúnadan nobleman who had been exiled from Gondor, ca. T.A. 1640. It was situated on a high cliff-top above a beach on the southern part of the Ethir Anduin, a few miles south of Eithel Túrin.
The tower was 80' high and had four interior storeys and an open roof. At the ground floor entrance to the tower, a black stone sat atop the portal's arch, graven with strange signs. The stone contained a spirit, bound by the Ringwraith who had led Herumal into treachery.
Close to the tower were three outbuildings used to stable four horses, as barracks for the Haradron mercenaries, and as a store for food, supplies, firewood, etc.
Some way down the coast was a secret cave in which Herumal had hidden a small sailing boat.
