The Harad/Umbar Battles were a series of consecutive battles that Gondor fought against a united front. King Aldamir of Gondor and his son Hyarmendacil II fought in many battles against the warriors of the south. In the end, Hyarmendacil II became king and won against the men of the south--but he lost his father in T.A. 1540 to the rebels and their allies.
