The Gulf of eastern Harad (Ad.:"Khôpazûl, "East-gulf";Har.: "Takar","Red Sea";Av./Khy.:"Ormal Kharg", "Gulf of Ormal") was a bay or inlet of the inner sea lying between Zîrayn and the Khyan Lands.

Tolkien mentions a "Red Sea" in his early drafts for "the Voyage of Earendel". A great gulf is also shown on his Ambarkanta maps.
