Gorhúr was one of Saruman's perfected Uruk-Hai that were born in the underground caverns of Isengard shortly before the War of the Ring. Given a Hanksar as his weapon, he joined Uglúk's company to track down the Fellowship of the Ring and recover the hobbits alive and unspoiled. Gorhúr followed orders very well, but his short time in training did not make him the best fighter to stand against Boromir son of Denethor II, who slew him in combat.
