A well known raider on the northern marches of Beleriand, Gorfimbûl was chief of a band of Hill-Orcs who resided on the 12th level of Angband.

Original form in the Angband roguelike: Golfimbul
In the roguelike he is implied to be Golfimbul, but this was retconned as Golfimbul almost certainly was not yet born in the First Age.So he was replaced by another Orc with a similar sounding name.
