Gondraim (S. "Stone Walls") was mine and mining-town centered upon the mountain ridge of the same name, which rose out of the Ephel Dúath above a large and reasonably slow stream that fed the Poros by way of a lake called Aelinring (S. "Cold Mere"), which meant that the river could be used to transport ores and equipment with ease.
