Mount Gondmaeglorn was the Ered Mithrin's tallest peak (10,720 Ft.), lying in the center of the range. While the mountain's height in its present company was impressive, more so was its girth — it was estimated by Dwarven workers, who had long mined there, to be more than 50 miles in diameter, making it one of the broadest mountains in this part of the world. Below it lay the Dwarven mine called Silver-plunge. From a cleft near Gondmaeglorn emanated the Dying Glacier, home of the Dragon Lomaw.
