Gildra was the leader of the Stiffbeards. After Gildra's people had lost the ring, they had become wandering nomads. When Gildra had heard of the offenses done by Azog the Defiler, Gildra gathered all the warriors of the icy region and met with Thrain II. Gildra offered the Stiffbeards as scouts and warriors. They were formidable mountain warriors and their herding and meal rations helped the supply line of the Dwarves immensely!
