Fundin was one of the wise of Moria.He was a scholar, architect and magician who designed parts of Moria's royal tombs.He also led a small company of dwarven volunteers in the Great Northern Wars.By his magical knowledge he trapped the spirit of Faebartha with the Golden Wheel of Anór.

He died in the fight but had his three sons, Baldor, Bolthor and Orin, build a secret cemetary for his kind, close to the later location of the Forsaken Inn in Breeland.
