A Forest-man of Minhiriath

The Forest-folk of Minhiriath were not one single people, but a collection of at least three, rather different and partially unrelated, tribes.

While the rather civilized Hil Fferid, were farmers and herdsmen who populated the northeastern eaves of the forest towards inland Minhiriath, the Mebden were more reclusive hunters and fishermen who lived along the coastal forests of the black cape. Both tribes were descendants of the Gwathuirim of the Second age and spoke Dunael dialects. The third tribe however, the Dynion Gwydd, lived in the deepest, most untamed central heart of the forest, they were of Drughu kind and related to the Beffraen, and were generally shunned by their neighbours.
