
A female Feanár
The Feanári (Q."Firespirits") or Fire-Fays (Q."Sáyar"; Ad."Devam") were a group of Maiar aligned with the Element of Fire.
Most Firespirits were Servants of Aule, also known as Artanor, but some were also serving Vana, Nessa or Tulkas.
The Fire-Demons (Red Demons,Fire-Phantoms, Gorgonaurath, Rogmuls and Balrogath) were believed to be fallen Fire spirits.In Haradwaith Fire-spirits were called "the Devam", especially those of Mordor.

- the Folk of Nessa - fiery Spirits devoted to Dance and Joy.
- the Fire-Demons - Spirits seduced by Melkor’s whispers or overwhelmed by their own fiery passions
- Balrogath: The greatest of the Fire-Demons, instruments of Melkor’s wrath, cloaked in shadow and flame.
- Gorgonaurath: Fiery phantoms whose forms were indistinct but terrifying, appearing as shifting, chaotic shapes of fire and ash.
- Rogmuls: Lesser fire-demons, known for their savagery and cunning.
- Red Demons: Beings of pure heat and malice, feared in the deserts of Haradwaith.
