Storlaga was an Orc-Demon, as well as one of the first Orcs and a disciple of the corrupting Fankil. Serving Morgoth for a long time with complete devotion as a primary invocator of the early Dark Worship, he bended each new generation of tortured Orc-spirits to the venerations and service of their horrid master.

After the downfall of Morgoth, Storlaga evaded the victors' unleashed wrath in the wastes of the northern lands. A wandering figure among the petty realms of Orcs, he tried to to reform his religion but found his folk wanting: with no clear leader they had no interest in the old faiths and many had embraced other superficial cults. In time though, he seemed to have found a new dreadful master in Sauron - perhaps out of a selfish desire for survival or to maintain the respect he had been accustomed with among his brethren.

History[]

The Elder Days[]

Shortly after Morgoth twisted the spirits of the Maiar who had joined him into the terrible Balrogs, he began the abhorred work which gave "birth" to Orc-kind. Storlaga was one of the very first of his making. His soul was delved from the spirit of a young, innocent awakened-Noldo whose misguided awe and curiosity drew him too far along Morgoth´s path.

The greatest of Orcish spell casters and a deeply-committed servant of Morgoth, Storlaga became a preacher of the worship of Morgoth among his brethren, seeking nothing less than to imbue the hearts of his followers with the same sort of fervent reverence he held for the rebel Vala. Part Elf-demon (from the dabblings of Morgoth) and part Wraith, the ensorcered Orc-demon often worked closely at the side of his mentor and companion, the great Umaia known as Fankil. Storlaga's loyalty to Morgoth had its rewards: he was seen as a sort of prophet sent to the lowly Orcs by their seemingly all-mighty master and therefore enjoyed a level of prestige and power over them.

Eventually. Storlaga fled Angband, avoiding the insane wrath of the Dark One, the ire incurred by the loss of a Silmaril from Morgoth´s Iron Crown by Beren Erchamion.
