The Black Flyer (S. Morrimpir) was a remote relative to the Grey Flyer of the tropical rainforests. It was small and rare, home only in substantial forests such as the Eryn Vorn. It hunted in packs of 4-40 individuals and lived in huge colonies - woe to anyone who stumbled upon their nests!
The Cardolanian Grey Flyer actually was no separate species, but the lighter-colored appearance of the male Black Flyer throughout the summer months. Grey Flyers were less poisonous, while the Black Flyers carried a nasty nerve poison in their tiny claws.
