Ruins Of Pan Hellion in TA 3018
Pan Hellion (S."Place of the naked descendant" ?), also known as Ost Baranor was a Free City of Cardolan.It lay on the Great East Road south of the Midgewater Marshes.The town had a quite large population of 5,000 in TA 250.However it's population declined after the early Third Age and the settlement was eventually abandoned by TA 1400.

- In the 2012 version of his article Population and Urbanization in Eriador Thomas Morwinsky relocates "Ningliras" in "Hellion"'s original location.In the earlier version he had located "Ningliras" in the Barrow-downs in northern Cardolan (published in Other Minds Magazine #13).He does not reuse the name "Hellion" in the 201w version nor assign it to any other location.
- Ost Baranor in LOTRO seems to be the same location.
