The Hir of Tyrn Gorthad had once ruled from the beautiful town of Faegilost (S. "Spirit-star's town"), on the Men Formen south of Bree, but Faegilost was sacked in the Battle on Tyrn Gorthad in T.A. 1409, and it had not been rebuilt.

- Original form in MERP: Feagil → Faegil → Faegilost (corrected Sindarin form).
- The site could be identical with the places called Ost Baranor or South-guard Ruins in The Lord of the Rings Online, Ost Baranor being the most likely equivalent.
