The Fale (Br. "Strong folk") were a people of wild men in the farthest east of Middle-earth. Originally inhabitants of the island Arg-Sîmoríg they had been driven out by the Argaw into the Lands of Faelân. They were most likely related to the Wâlâr and kinsmen of the Brâric-peoples though some Loremasters identified them as eastern kindred of the Baradhrim and Talataerim.

The Fale-culture might be loosely based on the Japanese Ainu-people.
