Erlungo of the Heathertoe was a well-travelled man from Brill in T.A. 1700.
Appearance[]
He had golden hair and reached the height of six feet, which was virtually unheard of in Brill-land.
History[]
Erlungo was the eldest son of Mayor Mat and Effie of the Heathertoe. He should have been heir to the Heathertoe Farm, but renounced his claim in favour of Rory, and took the money that his father gave him to seek his fortune in the world. He spent ten years away from Brill, and made many strange acquaintances and friendships. He had made friends with Gandalf, and been to Rivendell, Fornost Erain, Gondor, and the far south.
He returned to Brill in T.A. 1678, and never spoke about his adventures. He had provided a tremendous favour to the Dwarves, and was given three magical chests to keep his gold pieces in, and built a house on the outskirts of Brill. He married his wife, Hildico, and they had three children, a son and two daughters. His son was courting Aster of the green Hand. His family still enjoyed travelling, and visited Fornost about once every two years. He corresponded regularly with his friends in Fornost and the rest of Arthedain.
