Enerdhil was a famous Craftsman of the Noldor and was known as the Jewel-smith of Gondolin.He was believed by some to have been the maker of the first Elessar.Enerdhil was an apprentice to Fëanor himself and later teacher to Celebrimbor.After the fall of Gondolin Enerdhil briefly lived at Nargothrond and in the second age was a senior and founding member of the Gwaith-i-Mîrdain.
