The Men of Eneadur were a lonely people on the Belegaer or western sea. They were the inhabitants of a forsaken Island close to the archipelagos known as Enchanted Isles, Twilit Isles and Magic Isles.
They were rarely visited by passing elven ships and were isolated from other mortals.
Speculations[]
The Eneadurians were most likely survivors of the Númenoreans who explored the western oceans before the cataclysm, or after the cataclysm when Explorers of the Dúnedain and Black númenóreans tried to find remnants of Númenór as the legendary Isle of Meneltarma.
Notes[]
The Book of lost Tales also calls the Eneadurians "Ythlings", evoking a possible ancestor named "Yth" or "Ythel" but probably derived from anglo-saxon Yd, "wave".
The islands name, "Eneadur" and the names "Bior" and possibly "Yth" and "Eltas" are the only terms known from their language, while Eneadur looks Goldogrin or Ilkorin Yth certainly is Anglo-saxon.
