Êlwen (TA 1231-1307) was the first ruling Queen of Rhudaur. Despite being a woman her claims to the thone were backed by the Dúnadan nobility in favor to her predecessor Rúadcara, who was never accepted as legitimate King by the Rulers of Arthedain and Cardolan. She was succeeded by her son Aldor.

Original form in MERP: Elewen. However Elewen seems to be a corrupted form of mixed Quenya-Adanic-Sindarin origin. As the sucessors of Eärendur of Arnor all took proper Sindarin names, Elewen here was replaced by it's correct Sindarin equivalent.
