An Elda of the Vanyar, Elenwë (Q."Star-like") was wife to Turgon and the mother of Idril. She perished during the terrible Crossing of the Helcaraxe.

It has been guessed that Elenwe was of the same generation as Finwe, Ingwe, Olwe, Elwe, Nowe and Lenwe - due to their similar names, possibly all second or third Generation Elves.But it seems more likely that she was at last Feanors Generation, if not the same Generation as her Husband.
